While this release fixes only 2 issues reported by users for Windows 11, the Bluetooth driver version remains at 22.170.0 which was released in October 2022. Moreover, Intel intimates to its consumers that Windows 10 32-bit drivers for products 7265, 3165, and 3168 will now only receive security updates and no others, starting with version 22.170.0. Therefore, if your computer has the mentioned hardware, maybe it is time for an upgrade. That said, this Intel Wi-Fi driver release does not include updates for the following device families:
Intel Wireless 7265 Family (Rev.C)Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160Intel Wireless 7260

Intel Wi-Fi Driver v22.180.0 Changelog
This release only makes 2 improvements for Intel’s Wi-Fi devices for the Windows 11 OS, and both of them concern Intel’s Wi-Fi 6E AX211. The problem of Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 showing a yellow bang in the Device Manager and stopping working when a connected access point switches its channels with 80MHz bandwidth has now been fixed. Moreover, when using this device in hotspot mode, the issue with some mobile devices receiving degraded download throughput performance is addressed.

Roll Back Driver
If a driver has been updated, Windows still keeps the previous version of the driver just in case. This will be made available in case you decide to roll back to it at a later time. You may need to go back to the previous version of the driver if you find that the newer one is having issues, or is just not compatible with your setup. That said, Windows only keeps the last installed version of the driver and discards the rest. You can roll back to the latest version using these steps: The window will now close. Give your system a few seconds for the driver to successfully rollback. Note that you will not be prompted whether the driver has rolled back or not. You can confirm this by checking that the Roll Back Driver button has been greyed out in the Properties window. If it has, it means that the rollback was successful. Proceed to close the Properties window and the Device Manager console.
Final Verdict
The Wi-Fi Driver 22.180.0 does not make many improvements as some of the preceding driver updates from Intel. It does not include any security updates either, which either means that our computers are already protected since last month’s update, or Intel is loafing ahead of the holiday season already. Either way, as always, we recommend that the users keep their drivers updated to avoid unanticipated problems and keep their PCs patched. Also see:
